Shingles
Shingles is an infectious disease caused by the reactivation of the varicella zoster virus and is characterized by the appearance of a rash on a limited area of the body and intense pain. Shingles or herpes zoster is a painful disease that affects certain areas of the skin. Although chickenpox disappears, its virus continues to exist in certain nerve cells. As people get older, their nervous systems weaken or have already been weakened by other factors, and the virus can be reactivated and cause pain and redness. Most of the time, these symptoms persist from one to three months.
